WHO IS KEEPING IT PAWSOME?

I’m Dori Saltzman and I’m the woman behind the curtain at Keeping It Pawsome.

I started the website in May 2020 after being laid off from my job as a cruise reporter. Prior to my layoff, I’d been working as a travel journalist for almost 15 years. Before that I was a librarian for the New York City Public Library system.

My love of animals has always influenced my life and my travels. When cruising I often sought out shore excursions that featured animals. My favorites was rescuing baby turtles in Cozumel. If you ever have the chance to do this, do it! You will not regret it.

I’ve also visited a brown bear sanctuary in Romania, hugged a panda in China, swum with manatees in Florida, and no matter where I go I’m always making friends with stray cats.

I live in New Jersey with six rescue cats and one husband.
